Two separate pet photos beside the custom two pet portrait made from them

Can you put two pets from different photos in one portrait?

Yes, and separate photos are actually better. Send your favourite photo of each pet and we bring them together in one custom pet portrait from a photo, side by side, at the same scale and the same eye level. One portrait can hold up to three pets. Two pet prints start at $98, three pet prints at $137, and digital versions start at $23.90 and $28.90.

Getting two pets to sit still and look at the camera at the same time almost never happens. That's fine, because we don't need it to.

Key takeaways

  • Send one clear photo of each pet. They don't need to be in the same photo, or even the same year.
  • We redraw each pet upright and facing out, matched in scale so neither looks out of place.
  • Two and three pet portraits are landscape, so nobody gets squeezed.
  • Three pet prints start at A3, because three side by side need the width.

Why separate photos work better

In a photo of two pets together, one is usually looking away, half hidden or out of focus. With a separate photo of each, we get both faces clearly, which is what matters most. We then redraw them together in one composition, so it looks like they posed for it.

This also means you can combine pets who were never photographed together, including a pet who has passed and one who is still here.

What to send

  • One photo per pet, with their face clear and well lit.
  • Photos taken at their eye level work best, but any clear face will do.
  • Different backgrounds, angles and lighting are fine. We redraw all of that.

Our dog photo and cat photo guides cover the details.

A great dane and a chihuahua, a dog and a cat, an old dog and a new puppy: all fine. We keep their real size difference so it looks natural, while making sure the smaller one doesn't disappear. If you'd like them in a particular order from left to right, tell us.
